Pusoy Hand Rankings — What You Need to Know

Royal Flush is the strongest hand. It can only appear in your back row since the front row holds just three cards. After Royal Flush, the order is Straight Flush, Four of a Kind, Full House, Flush, Straight, Three of a Kind, Two Pair, One Pair, then High Card.

Suits matter when comparing two Flushes or two Straight Flushes. In many Pusoy variants, the suit order from highest to lowest is Spades, Hearts, Clubs, then Diamonds — check the active table rules before you sit.

You can, but it would need to be weaker than your middle row — which is rarely the right play. Three of a Kind is most useful in the front row, where only three-card hands are judged, and it ranks as the strongest three-card combination there.

When two rows tie in hand type — say both players show Two Pair — the comparison moves to the card values. The higher-ranked pair wins first; if those match, the second pair is compared, then the kicker card if still tied.

The middle row holds five cards and must rank strictly lower than your back row but higher than your front row. Setting it incorrectly results in a foul. The same five-card hand rankings apply — Flush, Straight, pairs and so on.

The core hand order — Royal Flush down to High Card — stays the same across variants. What can differ between tables is how royalties are valued and whether naturals like a complete Straight across all three rows carry extra scoring weight.
